Busan Solo Dining & Local Food Picks | Area-by-Area Guide to the Real Classics

Heading to Busan and thinking, “I want to go to a place that’s solo-friendly AND seriously good”? This list is for you.

I’m a former Busan resident (5 years on the ground), and these are the spots I’ve returned to many times — hand-picked and organized by neighborhood.

The lineup centers on iconic Busan dishes — Dwaeji-gukbap, Nakji-bokkeum, Milmyeon, abalone porridge, Samgyetang — at restaurants where solo diners genuinely feel welcome.

Organized by area — Seomyeon, Nampo, Haeundae, Sasang, Dongnae, Gwangalli — so it’s easy to slot one in between sightseeing stops without backtracking.

Use it as a cheat sheet when picking your next meal in Busan.
