Today’s pick is one of Busan’s signature dishes: Milmyeon — cold wheat noodles.
In Seomyeon, “Gaya Milmyeon” and “Gaegeum Milmyeon” are the famous names, but this time we headed to another spot on the same Dwaeji-gukbap Alley: “Bonga Milmyeon”.

The entrance opens onto Dwaeji-gukbap Alley, but you can’t really see deep inside, so it feels a touch intimidating to walk in…
Push through and GO!

비빔밀면 / Bibim-milmyeon: mixed milmyeon (no broth)
밀면특미 / Milmyeon Teukmi: mul-milmyeon with special sauce
회밀면 / Hoe-milmyeon: milmyeon with raw fish
수제만두 / Sujemandu: handmade dumplings
짜장면 / Jjajangmyeon
새우만두 / Saeu-mandu: shrimp dumplings
곱배기 / Gobbaegi: large size (+1,000 KRW)

Step inside and…
Packed, even on a weekday!
And not a tourist in sight — everyone’s Korean.
Expectations: high!!!
Since every seat was taken, one Korean gentleman and I waited our turn…
A 4-top opened up and we happily ended up sharing the table. Ha!
I ordered Mul-milmyeon and some mandu (dumplings).

The milmyeon arrived quickly.

Looks delicious!
(The egg should really be facing the other way, though…)
Just a tiny inner-monologue moment.

Cut the noodles with scissors at the table while you wait for the mandu.

A bit later, the mandu arrived.
The whole crew, assembled!
All of this for just over 10,000 KRW — that’s a great deal, right?!

Many places serve mandu in sets of 6, but this one comes as a set of 4 — better for solo diners.
The menu board inside also listed 새우만두 (Saeu-mandu / shrimp dumplings).
Next time, that’s what I’m ordering.
The milmyeon noodles are satisfyingly chewy with a great slurp, and the broth isn’t as spicy as it looks.
Together with the mandu, the meal was excellent!
