What Kind of Place Is MAC n JACK?
MAC n JACK is built at a slightly unusual spot — under an elevated road near the Hwangnyeong Tunnel (황령터널) in Daeyeon-dong (대연동). The exterior is a deep red and easy to spot from a distance. Step inside and the mood shifts completely: white walls, high ceilings, and large windows fill the space with natural light. It’s a generous size, so it doesn’t feel crowded even when it’s busy. Scattered around the interior are palm-tree motifs and a small boat installation — a subtle resort-like touch that sets it apart from the usual minimalist café. On a clear day, the outdoor terrace is the obvious place to sit. High chairs are available, and some seating areas welcome pets.

This is a roastery café that takes coffee seriously — and the standout is the Black Pepper Coffee (블랙페퍼커피). As the name says: coffee with a hit of black pepper.
