Today’s pick: Iganae’s kalguksu and mandu, located 5 minutes on foot from Exit 3 of Sasang Station (Metro Line 2), or 2 minutes from Gaepo Lotte Castle Light Rail Station.

This is the second kalguksu shop we’ve covered.
A reminder — kalguksu is the Korean-style noodle dish, similar to udon.
This place is a little ways from Sasang Station, but it’s a popular spot that fills up during peak hours.

해물칼국수 (Haemul Kalguksu): seafood kalguksu — 7,000 KRW
김치생칼국수 (Kimchi-saeng Kalguksu): kimchi raw-noodle kalguksu — 8,000 KRW (min. 2 portions)
왕만두 (Wang-mandu): jumbo dumplings — 7,000 KRW
김치왕만두 (Kimchi Wang-mandu): kimchi jumbo dumplings — 7,000 KRW
★ Menu as of April 2022 ★
I ordered the Haemul (seafood) Kalguksu and the Wang-mandu (jumbo dumplings).

Both the kalguksu and the mandu come in seriously generous portions!

Loaded with clams, shrimp, and some kind of dried fish.
The seafood is fine, but the real star here is the chewy hand-cut noodles and the broth — those are exceptional!

Now the mandu.

Packed with filling!
The garlic punches through — really tasty!
If you take the airport light rail, the shop is one stop before Sasang — right outside Gaepo Lotte Castle Station.
Look for the HomePlus and E-Mart as landmarks!
A perfect lunch spot — definitely worth a visit.
