Today’s pick: Dongmyeong Kalguksu, located in Nampo’s International Market in Busan.

Look for the orange sign. The shop is on the second floor.

There’s a notice at the entrance:
Got it! (Algesseumnida!)

Gogi-mandu (meat dumplings): 5,000 KRW
Multi-language menu available.
★ Menu as of May 2026 ★
The auntie staff is friendly, and the menu is available in multiple languages — easy to order even with zero Korean.
The “고기찐만두 (gogi-jjin-mandu)” on the menu means steamed meat dumplings:
- 고기 (gogi) = meat
- 찐 (jjin) = steamed
- 만두 (mandu) = dumplings
Useful Korean vocab for your next order!

I ordered the regular kalguksu.

The chewy noodles are excellent!

The staff recommended adding a spoon of gochujang (red chili paste) — and yes, it’s even better.

And here’s the mandu.
These are huge!

Dense with filling, tender, and packed with umami — seriously good!
The best mandu I’ve had in Busan, hands down.
If you’re in Nampo, don’t skip the mandu here!
